Our Story

Founded in 2010, Buka Shqiptare brings the rich culinary traditions of Albania to life. Our recipes have been passed down through generations, preserving the authentic flavors and cooking techniques that make Albanian cuisine so special.

Our restaurant is named "Buka Shqiptare," which means "Albanian Bread" - a staple in every Albanian household and a symbol of hospitality and sharing.

We source our ingredients from local farmers and suppliers, ensuring the freshest produce for our dishes. Many of our herbs and spices are imported directly from Albania to maintain authentic flavors.

2010

Buka Shqiptare was founded in a small location in Tirana with just 5 tables.

2013

Expanded to our current location with a larger dining area and enhanced kitchen.

2016

Received our first culinary award for "Best Traditional Restaurant" in Albania.

2020

Celebrated our 10th anniversary and launched our seasonal menu featuring rare regional specialties.
